IPAM Formative Structure

  • IPAM has evolved its internal structure from permanent sectoral committees — covering areas such as tools & techniques, agriculture, water, and resilient cities — toward a more agile model built around targeted, short-lived task groups.
  • Each task group operates with a clear objective and a delivery horizon of under two years, allowing the platform to respond more directly to emerging needs.
  • Cross-cutting integration between task groups ensures harmonization of techniques and metrics across sectors.
  • All activities are driven by member priorities, with resources and collaborations mobilized to meet focused, concrete goals.
  • The platform actively seeks the participation of institutions and experts, and its Steering Committee progressively expands the network by nominating new member organizations.
